10/7/21:
The loveliest dissipation

This is Conchúr White's second EP since Silences ended a couple years ago. In the time since, White has pushed more into layered pop, and the first track, "Vocation Vacation" puts a fine stamp on that approach. It's slinky, almost sleazy feel provides a lush loucheness that is irresistible.

Across the next three songs, White accesses a wide range of sounds and ideas. There is a grand scope to this short set, and White's songs fill the spaces admirably.

There is the expected "one-man band" eccentricity to these songs, but a lot of that is in how different each one is. It's almost as if White is simply trying on different hats. On this set, they all fit.

If this brief excursion is a good picture of White's talent, something big is on the horizon. Keep your ears peeled for what comes next. It just might change your life.
