6/10/21:
You can't sell happiness

Hooyoosay is a group of songwriters and musicians. Apparently the membership is fluid, and contributors are never named. Every once in a while, something different pops up. This time, the subject is electronic pop instrumentals.

Hooyoosay
Sinstrumentals EP
(self-released)

Nothing deep, nothing complicated and nothing to get in the way of pure enjoyment. These goofy pieces blip and bleep in a most infectious way. After hearing a couple songs, it's obvious that the performers are anonymous because they choose to be, not because of any sort of embarrassment.

Rather, the idea behind Hooyoosay seems to be to provide a platform for its members (however broadly that term might be interpreted) the opportunity to experiment and have fun. Mission accomplished here. This is one of the brightest, most joyous releases of the year. And right on time, too.
