1/4/21:
Lounge in the expanse

Most folks who appreciate certain kinds of music are picky even within genre. The London electronic artist SofaTramp is not. Wax On borrows from just about every electronic sub-genre, fusing often disparate ideas into an entirely new flow.

On the whole, space is the place. That is, SofaTramp gives his ideas plenty of room. These are modest, expansive compositions that don't try to do too much. The ambition comes out through the wide array of sounds for those ideas.

These pieces are solidly mainstream, even as they tour unnamed realms. Indeed, there is an immediate comfort emanating from the first few notes. It's a wide, wide world, and everything is okay.

I can dig it, even if I'm not sure that's the intended message. When you give your songs names like "Breakfast in IKEA", perhaps your world isn't as solid as I imagine. Whatever. This took me to a happy place. All props.
