10/22/20:
*bleep* you!

Oh, children of the 80s. We really fucked everything up, didn't we? The PUSH.audio folks certainly think so. They've released a compilation of songs based on 80s video game-style bleeps and blips. Even the rhymes are steeped in these influences ("Level Up", "Press Start", etc.)

Past the audio references, though, the rhymes won't take anyone back to 1983. These are modern hip-hop tracks, and not the really spacey Travis Scott stuff (which would probably make too much sense). Rather, Ill-Iteracy, Chris Prythm, Speek Easy, Will Spitwell and many more fuse their own sensibilities to these loopy tracks.

More than anything, this is fun. There is no deeper reason for this set to exist than that. Simple idea, simple execution. Strip everything down to basics and let it flow. I could keep going (and going), but really, go grab a listen. Don't postpone joy.
