12/9/19:
Two times the pain

Two people made this. And, apparently, they are also able to perform this scrawling, screeching caterwaul live, too. Okay, I'm intrigued.

I read a few other reviews, and to a one they placed this in the metal category. Good lord, folks, don't you know deconstructed hardcore when you hear it? Has it been so long since Touch and Go was cranking out artist after artist like the Jesus Lizard and Kepone?

Yes, it has. And anyway, Djunah doesn't share a thing with those bands other than attitude and a willingness to push kinetic music to its illogical limits. Singer/guitarist/bass pedalist/etc. Donna Diane has a throaty alto roar unlike pretty much anyone else, and between the insistent musical attack and her vocal assault there is very little left for a listener to do other than cower in amazement.

Well, I'm not much for cowering, but I flinched a little. That's cool. Djunah ask for no quarter and takes no prisoners. Even when it dials back the buzzsaw, Djunah's intensity pegs the levels. This one hurts in all the right ways.
