Country bud

Six songs. More than enough to wonder how cool it might have been to be old enough to sit back with a few brews while the 70s rolled by. The first track references the Eagles, but this is a lot more along the Dixie Dregs/Allmans/Eric Clapton axis. Country-ish, but with a technical (and sometimes heavy) edge.

Leroy from the North
Health & Fitness EP
(self-released)

Which is to say that cosmic stoner country just might be a thing. It should be, of course, and Leroy from the North hints at it with "Here in My Home." Not lyrically, really, but certainly with the twang-and-fuzz of the music.

I can hear what Wulfmeier likes (and he has great taste), but I'm not sure where he wants Leroy from the North to go. If he can manage to keep the band rolling on this "the bathtub is more than half-full" track, I'm all for it.

More likely, the wheels fall off. It's almost impossible to keep so many ideas spinning at once. I'm more than happy to hear him try. Better to shoot for greatness than settle for boring. Leroy from the North is a Ginsu, slicing through all genre barriers in its path. Keep rollin'.
