Galtier is a DJ. Currently based in Bristol, he grew up in Australia. None of that is particularly important, as his work wanders the globe, both literally and figuratively.

Galtier Terran EP (Infinite Machine)

This set of tracks follows the journey of an astronaut (or "terran") wandering alone through space. Galtier uses an impressive mix of beats and musical accouterments to illustrate his story, and it's not at all difficult to follow the path of the protagonist.

Or, of course, you could just listen to the music. The ambition and reach of the ideas is impressive, and Galtier's execution is seamless. This collection of sonic short stories is completely at home in the chilly confines of outer space.

A lot of artists try to create new worlds. Galtier has imagined the human response to those worlds. Spooky and immensely satisfying.
