Bard Erickson is boerd. He works in the ambient, though these pieces do have plenty of song-like markers. He has six expressions on this set (I can't really call them "songs," so I'm going to the thesaurus), and they range from peppy meanderings to lolling trips that barely move.

So, yes, ambient. In the Aphex Twin style. Warmer and gentler than Richard David James, but exhibiting the same fertility of mind. Erickson doesn't compromise his vision. The exacting production on these songs make them entirely his own.

Such a pretty place to visit. Unlike many electronic artists, Erickson populates his world with warm and inviting sounds. His ideas are just as challenging as anyone's, but he has decided to allow the listener to contemplate them from a comfy chair.

Just, y'know, a wonderful set of thoughts. Wander around for a while. Get lost. Come back. Get lost again. You might find it better to stay lost.
